i thought i might post something but then i wondered what i'm supposed to post? not a whole lot happens to me.
Skittles the cat had 3 babies who i think might get renamed once they get a older: M&M, Smarty, Rolo. i think Trouble has a cold and want to take him to the vet but that needs to get done on a lunch break...
Willow is dead tired, has been for a couple hours, and i can't quite figure out why. ok, we went for 2 walks but each one was only like 5 blocks so nothing to tiring. maybe my boring life has gotten to her.
have a work conference next weekend so that pushes my plans to visit Laurel back since this weekend i needed John to come do some plumbing...
spring break is next week so i get to spend it with my school kids.
that's it. really.

well, i'm a new mother, i'm supposed to obsess, right?

so first the job!
kinda worried cause i'm at a group most days (today i was at 8 and a group is 12!) and if i manage to stay at a group it's ok but really it's starting to not be worth to keep doing after school. we'll likely finish out the year and god i want to do the summer! if we do lose A/S then i lose about 2 hours of work cause i cover breaks and somedays i'll be able to cover some planning but not 2 hours every day. we've lost about 15 mins each so far which doesn't seem like too much but it'll add up.

my life... reloves around the dog. weekends i spend away from her make me sad when i get home that i didn't get to spend all day with her. just roomies that sometimes make me want to strangle them or myself (can't quite decide).

she's getting really good at sit and lay down and off/on (the couch) and she loves her kennel. oh, she always jumps to give hugs and kisses and knows how to cuddle (she puts up with a lot) she learned to jump the fence about 2 weeks ago so now she get's chained up and then the chain got shorten cause she tried to jump with it on. she's getting so good with stay! as long as i'm in her sight she'll basically sit there.
didn't get her fixed like planned cause that was the bad weather and this month i'm busy so next month! took her to work mon and the kids all loved her and she loved them. she's been hit with a wheelchair by my uncle and she moved but didn't care which is AWESOME cause i wanna get her Good Citizenship test. i'm gonna start training her for shame! where she uses a paw to cover her face in shame! shame! i think that's an awesome trick!

So i've had Willow for about a week now and thought i'd give an update.
We've gone on 2 walks w/ Krysti and her dog Jed (Cooter also joined us on 1 walk) as well as our own and they're going good.
She's barfed on the couch once and tried to eat the other couch once so now she has Erin's old kennel which she ran into last night cause she loves it (she came trained).
She's gonna visit Papa with me and mom today at the old folks home. she's good with cats, kids and people we just gotta work on getting her calm down around people a bit which some of the will come with age and some with training.
we're working on mainly on sit, stay, lay down, come and today or tomorrow will start some distance training so she can visit the dog park and come back (well, she came back when she escaped the yard she just didn't stop at me...)
i loves my dog and having fun with her. i figure i'm gonna be stick thin soon enough with all the walking. darn ;-p

So i got a puppy today. *dance!* she's about 1 year old and a black lab/border collie mix. I renamed from from Roxxy (yes, 2 x's) to Willow (after the Whomping Willow Tree). She's all ready started to come to Willow and she can sit and give high 5s. Lane isn't pleased that i added another member to the family. he was sitting by her food bowl (i moved his from that spot to downstairs so that dog couldn't eat the cat food) and she poked him with her paw and he freaked! it was so funny.

Willow likes Neville (noticing a theme?) and regularly stands and stares into his cage.

funny story all ready! so i was making japanese salad for supper and she was staring so i told her to go lie down. she did... on the couch. well, at least she understood the command, just gotta start getting her to go to her blanket.

t'was a good xmas. mom managed to trick me with my gifts. she put all the individually wrapped gifts into one large bag (for me and J both... in our own bags) so i couldn't squeeze and shake them. confused the heck outta me!!

so the kids have been told, now that its snowed and will be getting colder, that they need to bring toques, mitts, what have you.
somedays, the "forget" that they have it all packed in their bags. incase they really did forget we have a bin that has stuff they can borrow. to help them remember, however, i stocked the bin with the ugliest things i could find. like the pink belliclava (sp?) that has a pompom on top--that one is for the boys; or the giant, plaid-print purple scarf; even the giant, itchy, ugly knitted gloves.
it worked all ready.
one kid was sent inside to get a toque and he suddenly remembered he had one in his bag! i knew he did too but i couldn't dig in his bag bc his dad was there.
dc would be easier without the parents.

so i've noticed that the babies (and some toddlers) like my pudge. no, really. perhaps it's because i don't think anyone else will let the kids pull up their shirt to see their belly button or perhaps cause i'm lovably soft (i think it's that one) either way, the babies love the pudge (and the wicked colourful belts i wear that have fun holes for little fingers to poke).
the pudge and belt came into play today. while sitting on the full-grown-human size chair (one of the few in the daycare rooms) i was leaning foreward slightly to play with a baby when, yes, it really was happening, baby #2 found that my belt did not keep my pants firmly against my body (the pudge is to blame, i believe) and we found a new body part, or rather, space between body parts.
yes, ladies and gentlemen, baby #2 discovered the almighty Butt Crack.
i could hear her giggle every time i removed her little (thankfully) fingers and told her that i really didn't need fingers there, thanks anyway.

so 1 of the new dog books i'm reading is by Stanley Coren (he's awesome! read 2 others of his already.)
this book (Why We Love the Dogs We Do) is talking about why some people like dogs, others don't and why some people like some dogs and not others. i'm only 60 pages in and its very intersting but here's the question i pose.

Why do you like the dog(s) you have and/or want?

Coren did a small test and found that (not every time but enough) that when showed simply the faces of 4 different dogs women chose the one with the ears that mimicked their hair style. so the women with long hair usually worn down like the long eared dogs, the curly haired woman liked the spaniels curly ears. the short haired women or ones that wore their hair away from their face liked the dogs whose ears could be easily seen like the akita.
he went on Ophra when she had a owner-dog look-a-like show and he asked the people if they chose a dog that looked like them. one man answered he wanted a dog with a slow relaxed walk like he had while another simply said the dog was cute.
on the other hand, some people choose pets based on looks. boxers choose tough dogs like rotties not poodles, one model had 4 afgans-- they looked pretty and in the 4 colours they could match any of her outfits.

i'm trying to think of what attracts me to Newfies the most but i don't think i can get past my obsession. what about you guys?

so i'm finally updating since some thing have happened... not really though.
so in the last couple weeks i've found a couple houses i like and have nearly paid off my MC (once i get my $300 cheque from tupperware my MC will be down to $300) so i'm gonna go to the bank and see what i could afford for a mortgage. if i can't afford those houses then i just need Leanne W and Misty (from work) to sign that they'll be renting from me for a year and i can use their rent on my mortgage. i want to be in the house by end of Oct.
I told Ashley (she dated Curtis, i work with her) that once i get my place i'll teach her to cook since she cant cook but wants to learn.
once i get my house i can start saving for my Newfie though the one house i don't think has a fence but that's what dad's for, right?
i've started to buy xmas gifts. go team me finding cool stuff now so i don't have to worry so much later on.
not much else to say. took over the after school room w/ Misty which is going into its 3rd week and is a bunch of fun. we both got big plans.
wanna go to Calgary but i'm trying to save as much money as i can to put on my MC so no trips this month but i'm gonna go to Ed in Nov to a play and Misty said she'd come so yeahness.

so at the mall garage sale i made 1 sale (making back what the table cost me), handed out one book to a lady i know back from the Dub and gave out a couple cards- one to a girl for a kid party and she said she loved my table and the cake so she really wants to have a party. Debbie G said if i made back my money there i was doing good.
have Debbie's party on wed and Carolyn from work's on thurs, Buddy is gonna take a book in to work, Gail Anderson (Dana's mom) said she'd have a party in the fall. Miranda (who just got married) said she wants stuff in a bit and said she should stop by the mall but i told her Carolyn was having a party and that way she could get free stuff. i mean, who doesn't like free stuff?
not much else happening. sick with a weird fever that pops up and gets up to like 102F (39C) and then disapears for a bit before attempting to freeze me to death in bed...

living in the trailer thats now clean, booyah. have 2 books parties going/finishing for TW, gonna set up a table at Buddy's margarita party on tues (not mon, as 1st planned) and gave her a big serving bowl for chips and the cover doubles as a serving plate. Joanne N (Buddy's friend) was asking about a hamburger press and when i showed it to her she got uber excited so yeahness. have a house party w/ a girl at work on the 31st so yeah!
this keyboard is driving me crazy cause the shift key sticks.
Pig the pig is learning to walk on his leash better and doesnt freak as much when he's picked up so yeah. we let him run free a bit today and he kept nudging me cause he figure'd i'd feed him but i try to give him grass when he wants treats so ha ha!
not much else to say besides i forgot to pay my cell bill one month so nows it expensive but i'm gonna take off the net cause i got the comp here and at the library now. so that'll drop my bill $45.

-saw the Drum Passion play. mark that off my list of things to do and off your too. the book was better (i was DYING for a chance to say that after the play). 1 character says (cause he's blind) "are you there jesus?" and of course i'm a smartass and had to add "it's me, margart." the set and effort was amazing (people kept popping up on the hills! it was so cool!!) but the play was too long (he did a buncha miracles, i get it! now, cut 3 from the play). but Buddy, Gail and i had a fun on the ride back. we stopped at a gas sation to pee and get a snack and after i stole TP from the plugged toilet to use in the working toilet apperntly the guy was flirting with me but i wasn't payin attention (he wasn't doing that well..) and he said i screamed in the bathroom but i didn't remember so i just said "i dun know" and tried to talk to Buddy but he kept talking to me. anyway! Gail was a peron or two after me to pay and he asked her if i was on meds!! i asked if she said i should be...

not much else to say. going to Cal the 11th to visit Laurel and she's having a party on the 12th. so far her, me and 1 other guy (who she didn't realize she had invited cause she just invited everyone of her FB friends). hopefully her mom comes and even *shudder* her sister if no one else.

i'm moving into my aunt's trailer soon. gonna live in her trailer at her house cause she told her kids they couldn't have the trailer so i can't but she said i could stay there so i am. (its a bit closer to Stett than the cabin). she thinks i should get a little dog--a friend's dog is having Shitzu something mix pups and she thinks i should get one. no thank you! sides i can play w/ Pigly the snorting dog at my aunt's house. Mom and Buddy went to RD today so when they got back i went to give Mom her Tupperware and Pigly poked me until i put my leg down so she could jump up while i was eating giant nibs then i snorted at her and she snorted back. i mean, what's better than a snorting dog?
really want my Newf. i was looking up carting yesterday. websites and Youtube. also found some water rescue stuff on the Tube. Mom says J.D. still wants a Labradoodle and i wondered why and Buddy said so he can say "it's a Labradoodle!" my brother is weird.
Camp Teckla starts the 30th and goes till the 3rd (for the 1-3s) so i'm right buzzed for that. i told work i could work at 1 on those days so that gives me some time to chillax with my cousins a bit. hopefully most of them show up this year. Emily is gonna come coach even though she's not in camp so thats sweet.

working on my level 1 for child care. i finished 2 today and started a 3rd but i need to watch a kid and write stuff down so i need to be around a kid for that. and i figured it wouldnt look good if i just jumped to the next one as i all ready got in trouble for doing "too many" by the website. there's 18 modules and i had to stop on 10 so i'm going ok on them but the last time i worked on one it was like uber boring so i just did that 1. it's getting kinda interesting now but the sheets are going to be a bitch to work on since i move around in the rooms. might have to stay late to work on it. gag me!
getting pretty lonely with everyone running away to do their own things which is good for them but bad for me, hence the Lacey really wanting a dog thing. ML and Dustin are off at a wedding dance tonight and that's the start of the weddings this summer and since most of the world seems to be getting married it's gonna royally suck.
on the upside read a new manga called Dragon Drive. was pretty cool. i sent it to Aussie w/ a gift cert as a bday present. i just love that i got him hooked on manga and anime. Anna likes anime too but Aussie knows more about it.

so my laptop is getting old old old. it's lost 3 or 4 screws and the power cable is shot (wires frayed). so i got a new one but it wasn't compatible so boo hiss hiss.
on the bright side i got a new phone- Blackberry Pearl. i'm liking it bunches. cant remember if i got internet on it (i think i did) but im not going on till im sure as it costs an arm and a leg.
had an interview w/ the Lottery and i think it went well so *crosses fingers*.
what else? gave Neville's old cage to the SPCA and so i HAD to see the puppies. i mean, HAD to right? and if you're wondering, Neville's outside cage can be brought in so i saw no reason to keep his solely inside cage.
what else? not much else, methinks. pretty boring life.
still not sure i'm gonna live. if i get the lottery job that would open up a lot of places... places that have roofs and walls and maybe cooling/heat.

ive been in a big dancing mood lately. i wanna take ballet again--if only to justify point shoes--and i wanna take some highland dance classes (and Stett has both!). if i ever get some spare change i think i'll make a trip to see something in Cal.

watched 2 new eps of End of my Leash (one was in Red Deer) and they were good. watched new Rich Bride, Poor Bride too. mom says i'm not allowed to have a theme wedding. i told her the theme was "The Hicks Get married" or "Red Neck Wedding". the last one i watched was a greener wedding and for party favours they gave out saplings. i linked that. i think i might do something like that. some of the green stuff they did was easy to do (one wedding-slash-reception area to cut down driving, for example) and some more expensive (organic foods and wines plus corking fee at the reception for bringing your own wines).

mom liked her mothers day and birthday presents (Aveeno stuffs). she was excited "if its anything like the handlotion!" gave Billy some kitty treats (that she ate cause shes picky, only the best for her... shes also taken to drinking our ice water out of some newer glasses that fit her head). but she got some treats, she's not the best mother what with the random and multiple beatings of her children but shes a mother.

my lil garden is coming along nice. had to throw out 2 of something bc of mold but everything minus my heartnut is coming up. the corn is doing very nice.

neville has a new outdoor hutch which i like and i think hes liking it too. next month i wanna get him the add-on cage so he can eat the grass. i was looking for it online at petsmart.com and it was expensive but when i found the cage it wasnt what i paid and it was dirt cheap so i wonder if the prices or names or mixed up...

think im gonna ask Buddy if i can kidnap her trailer for the summer (when they dont use it, of course) (they didnt get a new one) so i dont have to waste so much gas driving home. and that way i can hang out with friends more and not have to worry about sleep vs drive time. it would be (at Lions) $525 a month for water, power and sewer but it has good facilities so id just go power so thats $465 which is about gas a month. most placed dont take pets so... but mom found a couple ads that dont say "no pets" so maybe i just wont mention Neville if they have good prices. i could stay with people but i dont wanna be a hassle or run on someone elses schedule.

prolly gonna have to get a Sunday job if i dont get the lottery job i applied for. mom said just to get a new job but i like the daycare and getting a new job might bring in a bit more money but if i dont like it whats the point? crossing my fingers for the lottery job cause it would take a massive load off my back.

still really want a dog. even more so cause im getting lonely. liking Nev more thats hes outside. hes getting more attention out there too.

so leaving work i noticed that the one crosswalk light had been knocked down and was dangling by wires (by the soccer fields near Waverly) and i wondered what could do that. at the lights i was behind a semi pulling farm equipment that had folded arms that went out too far so both lanes were behind it. it went to turn after Best Western towards the gas station (Esso?) and CAUGHT THE POWER POLE.
i saw it was going to catch and gasped, slowed the fuck down and it sure hit. good thing the driver noticed right away cause right when i heard that pole scream the wire shook but he stopped. so i stayed stopped for a good bit to make sure nothing was going to fall and drove around. the warning truck was driving back to help. beyond that i dont know anything. oh, it was turning because theyre doing construction on the bridge so its down to one lane.
christ, if you have something that big i think you need to take gravel roads.
